Volkswagen Fuel-Pump Control Module.

Volkswagen of America Informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Transport Canada announced about an upcoming Safety recall involving 2006-2010 MY Passat/Passat Wagon & 2009-2016 MY CC

The problem

There could be an interruption in electrical power to the fuel pump control module.

A faulty fuel pump control module could result in the fuel pump running continually, resulting in a drained battery and/or a no-start condition. It also could cause a loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

Corrective Action

Customers will need to take the affected vehicle to authorized Volkswagen dealers to replace the fuel pump control module and relocate it within the car.

Note: At the time of writing this post, the repair is not yet available, Customer will receive a mail notification when the fix is available.

Any Authorized Volkswagen Dealer will perform the safety recalls at no charge to you.
